User Journey/Flow Mapping
In this stage I focused on sketching out how multiple user perspectives will engage with the current dashboard view. We walked through their journeys from sign-in to the accomplishment of tasks such as retrieving data or producing reports. Since there already was an active version of this dashboard there were many users willing and able to give constructive feedback. This guaranteed a user-focused interface and aided in pinpointing potential challenges early on in the design phase.
The photo below showcases our user flow.
Stakeholders Validations
During the wireframing stage of the project, stakeholders actively joined calls and review sessions to evaluate various features. These stakeholders, specialists in client experience, data visualization, and reporting, leveraged their client relationships to help us reform the dashboard experience and ensure the best solution for our users. This process involved modifying states, removing and inserting widgets, adjusting widget sizes, repositioning elements within the dashboard's UI, and refining features such as the "Restore Profile View," widget operations, and data exportation.
We also incorporated usability testing using Maze.co during this stage, enabling us to validate our designs with real users and make data-driven improvements. The participation of each stakeholder was highly beneficial, as it facilitated thorough communication and collaboration throughout the process.

Impact & Insights
The duration of this project gave me the opportunity to collaborate with the Data Visualization Team, which gave me a full perspective of how the widgets would work better and how we could achieve the design upgrade with the TIBCO Jaspersoft system! I also had the opportunity to experience a brief immersion in SQL with this project by analyzing the data behind every widget.
This project was challenging as it required me to work with many different teams some of which had no experience with UX design. However this resulted in a great opportunity to practice humility, clear communication and respect each coworker's expertise.
Next Steps
The goal is to eventually migrate to a different data source (other than Jaspersoft) in order to fulfil our initial ideas for the dashboard view. This would include more customization and security features, easier access to manage/distribute reports, and a more data driven visual. I know this will be helpful for the clients and create an overall better experience.
